King Baby

So what's a king baby? To start... it's an abstracted image of a baby crying; bulge the head and dent the mouth, add color and distortion. Take an image that should conjure notions of sweet helpless potential, the open hearted and powerless stare, the little I who just needs love, ... and turn it (with the power of image editing) into a symbol of rage and entitlement. The shrieking unhappy howl of need. The scowl of nothing is good enough. The hunger and the demand for food and comfort, anything and everything and I want it now.

King Baby seems an appropriate symbol of the world today. I consider them portraits of the 1% ... the demand for me and mine and right now and f*ck the rest of you. You don't count

However the truth is we are all a little of these little kings and queens. We are all at the center of our own bubbles of rage and need. The near constant quest to get more: money, power, comfort, more and mine and feed me now. KING BABY
